International WomenÔÇÖs Day conference 2012 Thursday, January 12, 2012 - 15:12
NIACE Dysgu Cymru are organising a conference on International Women's Day (8th March 2012) in City Hall Cardiff. To register an interest in this event please e mail wendy@niacedc.org.uk
Aims & outcomes:
- To celebrate the role of learning in overcoming domestic abuse
- To encourage and support all connected with learning to address women's inequality
- To support the work of women across the world in promoting equality through linking with UN Women and UN Women UK
- To launch the manifesto for women's learning- A women's right to learn (linked to simultaneous launch in England)
- To gather materials to further support the manifesto pledges (including stories from women) across Wales.
Target audience:
The event will be aimed at learners, teachers, tutors, volunteers, support staff, trade unionists and decision makers interested in promoting women's equality and equality in learning.
