In every culture in the world the sharing of stories forms a fundamental part of life and learning how to live it. Many of us remember a favourite relative who, whilst keeping us enthralled with a story, also made us think.

Family Learning Day aims to encourage families to learn and have fun together. It can provide the ideal opportunity to engage with new families in your area and to raise awareness of the range of learning activities and courses available to them.
Participation in family learning has been shown to be a key factor in raising attainment levels of primary school children. In addition, it offers adults who lack self confidence, a chance to take part in a fun learning activity in an informal environment.
In past years, organisations have staged a wide range of activities throughout Wales which have successfully attracted families. Please remember to send us details of your own activities which we will post on the website.
